My name is Alexis Doyle, and I’m a travel photographer based in Michigan, USA, though I often find myself elsewhere. My introduction to photography began with a simple desire to vividly capture moments of my life and have clear memories to look back on—the way the light was, unique features like doors or textiles, and fleeting instances that made a particular moment special to me. This initial motivation remains a central part of my work.
My current approach to photography is all about being observant and grateful for my surroundings. I focus on the details and differences that make a given place unique, and aspire to capture moments in real-time that remind me why I feel so fortunate to be where I am. When I’m out shooting, I aim to be fully present and appreciative of the surrounding beauty, translating those feelings into my photographs.
Through my lens, I hope to share the wonder and admiration that I have for the world and to use photography as a way for others to see its magnificence in the way that I do.
