Ana Ferrer takes us on a journey to Mexico.
The collection proposes a sensory and spiritual path woven from that connection. The Cempasúchil—which blooms every November, tinting the city in orange—extends through its ornamental, ceremonial, and healing uses. This flower, deeply rooted in the traditions of Oaxaca, Mexico, and Latin America, maintains an ancestral link with time, the elements, cycles, and the body, passed down for generations by herbalists and healers.
The Agave Tobalá—whose name in Zapotec means toba (agave) and lá (freedom)—as María tells us, is a species that shares a cycle with the Cempasúchil, blooming in the same season, carrying a similarly floral essence. Both are wild, growing where they choose, both untouched, resilient in the face of harsh conditions—both free.
This collection was created from the exhibition held in Barcelona in November 2025 a collective exhibition, titled “From Far, Ara Aquí,” brings together stories from near and far.
