Elisabet Mateu presents a series of photographs that capture everyday scenes of random characters, but also of empty spaces: places that have been inhabited and still preserve traces of what was lived there.
‘I often ask myself: do people shape the home, or does the home shape the people? In these empty spaces, in these gestures and fleeting presences, I find ways of inhabiting that invite me to belong as well”
This collection was created from the exhibition held in Barcelona in November 2025 a collective exhibition, titled “From Far, Ara Aquí,” brings together stories from near and far.
