Gabriela Haapalainen

Gabriela Haapalainen presents a series of images in which the chair becomes the connecting thread between spaces, memories, and emotions.

A project that seeks to understand what it means to belong, exploring the human being — and herself — through the chair as both a mirror and witness to our everyday experiences.

“Home, for me, is not a fixed place. It is a sum of presences, of memories that travel with me.”

This collection was created from the exhibition held in Barcelona in November 2025 a collective exhibition, titled “From Far, Ara Aquí,” brings together stories from near and far.
