José Cuartas presents a series that explores the idea of “home” as something deeply abstract. For him, home is not a physical place nor a point on a map—it is a feeling that emerged when he left his country for the first time. It’s an emotion woven from people, memories, places, and moments—a sensation that travels with him, ever-changing yet constant, wherever he finds resonance. This series is an abstract attempt to capture the community that has made him feel at home regardless of distance, language, or geography—an invisible network that transforms any place into belonging.
This collection was created from the exhibition held in Barcelona in November 2025 a collective exhibition, titled “From Far, Ara Aquí,” brings together stories from near and far.
