Painter on art

Laura Pessarrodona
2020: Vietnam

I remember this day really well. It was a cloudy day, and I was riding my motorbike through the amazing landscapes of Ha Giang, in North Vietnam. Suddenly I was a painter next to the road, in front of those astonishing mountains. Even I just saw it for a second, I knew it was the perfect picture. I was going too fast to stop, so I had wait until the next turn, and go back. He obviously noticed when I stopped, surprisingly it’s not a very busy road. He was a young American, Alex, that had moved to Vietnam to live from painting. We talked for a couple of hours and then he asked me to take some pictures of him. Suddenly the sky opened, and some sun rays allowed me to photograph the painter painting.
