BODY OF WORK BY EVELIN TOLEDANO

CURATORIAL SCRIPT: Evelin Toledano x Juno House

The aftermath of this successful event, organized in collaboration with Juno House and artist Evelin Toledano, marked another milestone for Dare Collective in its quest to create new dynamics and spaces for artists to showcase their work. This opportunity to collaborate with Evelin Toledano and Juno House, a members’ club and catalyst for woman-to-woman collaboration, was truly inspiring. Together with Evelin, we curated an exhibition under the concept of ‘Body of Work,’ which launched with an opening gallery night hosted under the roof of Juno House.
This art exhibition, a joint effort with Evelin Toledano and Juno House, delves into a powerful exploration of the female form through Evelin’s unique artistic style. Renowned for her vibrant use of color and minimalist aesthetic, Evelin skillfully employs negative space to shape forms from absence, crafting abstract representations of the female figure. Her work spans a variety of mediums, including paintings, murals, sculptures, and, most recently, wearable art

THE WHY: Juno House, a space designed to bring women together and empower them, provides the perfect setting for this collection. As Dare Collective, we felt that Evelin’s work, with its celebration of femininity, color, and texture, aligns beautifully with Juno House’s mission of fostering connection and empowerment among women.

In a world where supporting women and each other is more important than ever, we are thrilled to present Evelin Toledano—an artist who brings the female figure into the art world in bold, transformative ways. This collection is a tribute to the strength, beauty, and shared experiences of women, brought to life through Evelin’s extraordinary vision.

The exhibition we curated, produced and managed by Dare Collective, will be displayed for the Juno House community from October to January. The exhibition was inaugurated with an event that brought together not only the artist Evelin Toledano, Juno House, and Dare Collective, but also featured the participation of a local natural wine brand, Suc Suc, a Natural Wine Education Hub & Consulting Agency, which offered its wines as part of the welcome for everyone who attended the event. The wine bottles exhibited and used at this event were also designed and intervened by the artist Evelin Toleano.
This event brought together people united by a shared love for art and this type of exhibition in one place, allowing the night to unfold through dynamics such as appreciating the displayed art and the work curated specifically to adorn the space of Juno House perfectly, following the concept of Body of Work. Additionally, networking dynamics were created, connecting with different people who appreciate this kind of artform, where the perfect opportunity to meet new artists, discover new ways to materialize art, and explore new visions and perspectives on how to turn concepts into tangible art pieces is offered. This also allowed them to display a variety of styles and sizes, enabling attendees to find different pieces that resonate with them.
We are pleased to share that since this event, Dare Collective has collaborated with Juno House to present an incredible curated collection of talented artists from the community, perfectly aligning with their mission to inspire and empower.
We selected artworks from artists such as Augustas Sagnelli, Marina Dorgan, Nika Burnett, Fiorella Gianini, Anna Mendiola, and Andrea Rosemercy for this exclusive exhibition. We wanted to align photographs of women from the community who seek to connect art with womanhood or various forms of expression, which is why we have linked it to the exhibition. These pieces are meant to bring art into your home or space, evoking serenity and empowerment.
We are excited to share this opportunity as a collective—creating specially curated collections in collaboration with other spaces. We’ve created a dedicated space in our shop for these collections, where we focus on fusing artists and venues that resonate with each other’s ideas, perspectives, and talent!
Organized and promoted by Dare Collective, a platform dedicated to discovering artists and fostering creative collaborations, this partnership reflects our mission to showcase powerful and meaningful art in inspiring spaces.
